Owning Shares

To become a member of the Cooperative you need to buy a share. A share costs £50 and you can buy a maximum of 2 shares. Every member, no matter how many shares they own, has a vote on the major decisions affecting the shop. If you buy a share you’ll be joining over 100 current members who invested in shares when the Cooperative was set up.

If you are interested you should read offer document that outlines the details of membership. you should also read our latest annual report. If this convinces you you can fill out the MBC share application form and email it to the shop or drop it in in person (and perhaps buy a book and have a coffee whilst you are there!).
